new RCM piano teaching qualification

I've been studying to become a better piano teacher constantly over the last few years, and am delighted to say that I've just received this certificate from the Canadian Royal Conservatory of Music.

The course explored strategies for keeping students engaged in lessons (particularly busy teenagers!), encouraging independent learning, and how to teach musical memorisation, amongst other topics. I passed with 92%, learnt a lot and had a great time interacting with and learning from other piano teachers.

This week I'm starting lessons to prepare me for taking an ALCM Teaching Diploma with the London College of Music. Once that's completed I'll take the RCM's Teaching Advanced Piano Course.
