This piece is the first half of a twin —  Apollo & Dionysus — and is coming out this Friday. If you're not a philosophy or Greek mythology nerd, the titles may be a bit odd, but never fear, Wikipedia can explain… Dionysus will be released at a later date.

The idea that we are naturally pulled between the twin poles of Apollo and Dionysus, lurching at random from a desire for order and calm to a lust for disorder and chaos, is something I see at times in myself but also very much in our society (and what is society if not a reflection of the individuals that make it up?) and, as much as I like my calm, disrupting that calm frequently makes my life more interesting. Dionysus, when it comes out, is very much a chaotic piece (it's great fun to play!) but this really reflects more where I am right now.
