A new piano teaching qualification

Over the last few months I've been studying for the intermediate level piano teachers course with the Royal Conservatory, a Canadian centre of musical excellence, and I've just been told that I passed the course, achieving 92%.

The focus of the course was "developing strategies to keep your busy intermediate students engaged and inspired" and topics studied included lots of new music, short-, medium- and long-term lesson planning, encouraging student independence, strategies for memorisation, artistic mastery, and using improvisation to explore music theory. It was assessed through moderated peer discussion forums (where I shared strategies and ideas with other teachers) and assignments.
