About Garreth

Garreth Brooke is a composer, pianist, teacher and grief companion.

His music (released under the pen name Garreth Broke) explores what it means to be human in a harsh yet beautiful world. He began composing in his early teens, and what started as joy became a vital refuge during a family crisis when his mother battled severe depression. After studying at the University of Oxford, he collaborated with artist Anna Salzmann, blending music and visual art. His work has appeared on leading labels and major radio stations. His album Life Through Loss (Neue Meister) reflects grief, hope, and shared human experience. It draws on his work as a grief companion, offering solace and connection to listeners navigating loss. He writes musical elegies for grieving people to help them live with their loss.

He teaches piano and composition lessons in English in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
